180 mm square filter - Medium GND8
the Rollei F:X Pro Medium GND8 180 mm rectangular filter is a Graduated Gray Filter and specially for 180 millimeter filter holder systems manufactured. GND stands for Graduated Neutral Density . With the help of this square filter easily compensate for differences in brightness in your image. The word medium stands for the fact that the intensity of the tinting (coating) runs out moderately from one end of the filter to the middle and does not end with a very hard cut (Hard GND) or very soft (Soft GND).t.
the F:X Pro Medium GND8 rectangular filter has the dimensions 180x210mm and is therefore ideal for 180mm filter holder systems suitable. The density is 0.9 and 3 stops. A stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop at a time.
For these motifs you can use a medium GND8:
- Mixed urban motifs (houses with water, bridges and sky)
- Mountain ranges with forest, sky and sun
- Overall, motifs where the horizon line is rather uneven
Generally one uses GND's for motifs in which the brightness conditions have a certain Course and therefore require different exposures for an evenly exposed image. Classic place of use MediaGND is, for example, the recording of a city center that has many different elements and levels of brightness and must therefore be classified exactly between hard and soft GND. Such a scenario resembles the Media GND8 the end.

The freedom from reflection of all our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5 percent. With these filters you get exemplary color fidelity – and depict your subject lifelike.
In order to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of Gorilla* glass. It is thanks to a special manufacturing process legendary resilience while guaranteeing one extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its ultimate hardness against mechanical impact and ensures that dirt from grease, water or mud can be removed quickly and easily.
But not only scratch resistant are our filters but also temperature resistant . We tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and also in the freezing cold. In short: They are the best filters we have ever built.
